Here it is, my new e-book! I couldn’t find a title that accurately evoked the story of this alphabet, so I finally opted for the one I had initially discarded, imagining it would be misinterpreted. I had discarded it because I thought that the images in the embroidery spoke louder than words, but in the end, the story comes from there. To avoid misunderstandings… There are no shells to embroider, eh! The role of the shells here is to have given the letters their colours. Each letter therefore summarises the long walk on the Jesolo shore, about 10 years ago. Although the place has been terribly spoilt, where once the dunes certainly scanned the horizon, by a chain of hotels so dense as to stifle any vain attempt at spontaneous growth, in those days I saw the most varied collection of colours, with my gaze lost on the shells on the ground and the sky at sunset: dazed by the black and gold on the ground, the violet and gold in the sky. And my A, which was an exercise, requested loudly, called its sister letters to it. The PDF contains drawings of the complete alphabet to be embroidered in stem stitch and long and short stitch, DMC colours and essential explanations with the sequence of operations and useful tips.
