From theory to practice, with the purpose of learning the technique and using the appropriate materials. I’ll present traditional techniques and personal variations, reporting sources for drawings and inspiration, with a focus on the use of monograms in traditional and modern needleworks.

Technical goals, through a sampler of elements:

• how to start and finish thread on a frame;
• work preparation – variants;
• the importance of the preparation planning;
• the embroidered padding and its limitis;
• padding with threads (management of threads, tips, change of thread, …);
• overlaps;
• flat and padded dots;
• my method.
