Here I am publishing the PDF of my little Christmas decorations!
Cutwork, a few English stitches holes, a large three-dimensional Paletsrina stitch with two #30 threads, and a hint of gold here and there (I used Diamant DMC). I embroidered the preparation, bars, English stitch and gold backstitch on the frame, while I allowed myself to relax my muscles and do the Palestrina stitch and scallops in blanket stitch finishes on the hem by hand. There is a rumour that when cutting, it is better to wash and iron the fabric before cutting it in order to reduce fraying. I do not have the experience to confirm the validity of this legend, but I strictly followed the rules. While designing the pieces, I wondered if it was necessary to starch them in order to hang them… Linen never disappoints! It wasn’t necessary! The dense embroidery, on the other hand, is a very functional framework in itself.
One thing leads to another: as soon as I finish the course on padded stitch, I will definitely have to get started on a small sample book on pippiolini. I have seen things in my manuals that keep me awake at night…
