When I was organising the course ‘Wrapped and knotted stitches’, after re-recording the basics, I thought it would be interesting for participants to link the second object to the first and thus create something harmonious. So I made the difficult decision, which I am now very happy with, to re-record this course from scratch. I introduced a slightly more complex and, perhaps, more logical solution for the packaging. I embroidered the heart and a letter, which are the main designs in the e-book ‘Rose & Lavender’, and I made two bags with all those beautiful decorative finishes stolen from Umbrian and Tuscan embroidery, which I love: double bullion stitches for the drawstring, bullion stitches with buttonholes, like pippiolini, on the upper edge, and more bullion stitches on the side edges as a fake closure (actually, I understitched everything, of course). A way to expand the bullion stitch experience beyond little roses. In one of the images I’m posting below, here are the new colours, for those who have the e-book and want to add them!
