There’s only one week left until Valtopina, and I’m gathering my things.

It seemed like such a distant event… And summer felt like an endless space-time void where I could do a ton of things.

But.

I’ve done other things.

And now that September is just a handful of dates away on the calendar, I’d like to make some decisions to regain my energy. I kind of miss the me from ten years ago—with my Assisi stitch and the enthusiasm of a beginner, my full-stitch messes, and my first floral experiments.

I tell myself that, in a way, I should start over.

But in the meantime, I’m diving back into the fray, admiring the masterpieces created by the embroiderers and the organizations that will be exhibiting at the Mostra del ricamo e del tessuto di Valtopina (Scuola Di Ricamo Valtopina) and rediscovering the words, gestures, and smiles of everyone who comes to visit us!
The website also lists all the scheduled courses! I can’t take any of them because it’s impossible for me to do so at the fair, but there are so many options!
