Hurrah, hurrah!!

Theyโ€™ve delivered boxes and boxes and boxes… Of my new booklet, ๐‹e๐ญt๐žr๐ž ๐o๐ฎq๐ฎe๐ญ! Iโ€™ll go into more detail later about what it does and doesnโ€™t contain, but now Iโ€™ll just stick to the announcement (because I couldnโ€™t wait to make it) and my thanks!
To the legendary ๐‹๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐š ๐€๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐๐ข, the loyal and irreplaceable image consultant for my printed books, who manages to take my drafts and photos and turn them into real books, I send a heartfelt hug, because putting up with my fussiness is no mean feat. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and… Mind you, Iโ€™ve already got a few ideas for the next one!

I would like to thank ๐š๐ณ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐๐š ๐ž -๐†๐ซ๐š๐ฉ๐ก๐ข๐œ, with special thanks to Enrico and Martina, but also acknowledging the whole team, who worked tirelessly to ensure the book arrived in time for the Mantua event Le Dame del L’AGO

Notice to ๐— ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—บ, ๐—˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ and MBE San Bonifacio – Mail Boxes Etc. that I am already preparing some parcels and that, as always, it will be a relief and a great pleasure to rely on you!
As tradition dictates, a special thank you goes to ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ญ๐ข ๐ฏ๐จ๐ข ๐œ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ข ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ž , because without your ๐˜ž๐˜–๐˜ž I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™d find the courage to do things!
Yeah… Youโ€™re right, ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜….. Even without the beers I wouldnโ€™t manage it!

๐‹e๐ญt๐žr๐ž ๐o๐ฎq๐ฎe๐ญ is an album of designs, so it is NOT an embroidery manual, unlike the one on padded stitch. It is a collection of drawings: a complete alphabet 17 cm high and a few decorative motifs, plus designs for the border of a placemat, based on the quote by Walt Whitman “Give me odorous at sunrise a garden of beautiful flowers where I can walk undisturb’d“, decorated with flowers and available in Italian and English. Naturally, I have included instructions for embroidering the drawings: which colours I used, what I embroidered first and what I embroidered next, and which stitches I used. Iโ€™ve also added a tutorial showing the progress of the work, with the colours needed, but… As this isnโ€™t an embroidery manual, it does NOT contain detailed explanations of the techniques. If anyone wants to learn long and short stitch, this book does NOT explain it with beginners in mind: it shows the movements, but doesnโ€™t suggest a path to gain experience. It assumes you already know the technique, and I show how Iโ€™ve interpreted it. If anyone would like to learn the long and short stitch, I can recommend Trish Burrโ€™s manuals, or my online course โ€˜Il punto pittura e i colori nel ricamoโ€™.

For those who are already familiar with long and short stitch, or who still want to give it a go with my tutorialsโ€ฆ Iโ€™d like to let you know that itโ€™s on its way and is reaching its usual destinations!
